Ohio State Loses Star Player In The 2025 Class, But It’s Not A Bad Thing
Lori Schmidt / Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORK

Ohio State fans can’t wait to get last season’s loss to Michigan and Missouri out of their mouths when the season rolls around at the end of August, but they got some news on Thursday about the 2025 season, which many fans didn’t even think was that big of a deal.

Ohio State Is Loaded At Cornerback For 2025

The Buckeyes have gone crazy in the 2025 recruiting class at the cornerback position. According to 247sports.com, they have the number one ranked corner, Devin Sanchez, committed; number two, Na’eem Offord, committed; and number four, Dorian Brew, 100% crystal balled to join the team.

With all these top corners coming to Columbus next season, one of their top 2025 commits de-committed on Thursday.

Blake Woodby Has Decommitted

According to Hayes Fawcett from On3.com, Blake Woodby has de-committed from Ohio State.

The Baltimore, Maryland native is the ninth-ranked corner in the 2025 class, according to 247sports.com, and was the fourth-highest-rated corner in the Buckeyes 2025 class.

Many fans don’t seem to be worried about losing Woodby because of how great the corner class is already coming in. They already landed the best corner in the 2024 class in Jeremiah Smith.
